  1. Mr. B. is molar mass the same thing as density? If not can you give a definition in layman's terms?

  2. Molar mass is not the same thing as density, but they are similar. Density is amount of mass per unit volume and molar mass is the amount of mass in one mole of a substance.

"Mole" is a unit just like "dozen" is a unit. While dozen means 12, a mole means 6.02 x 10^23.

So, for example, hydrogen's molar mass is 1.01. This means that 6.02 x 10^23 atoms of hydrogen would have a mass of 1.01 grams.

  3. Thank you. Just to run my project idea by you I was thinking of doing a magazine article in Scientific American and photoshop a few things to make it look like an actual issue, and have the page write-up be the magazine style 3 column format. Is this okay for the project?

  4. That sounds cool. As long as all the information is there and you cite where you got your info, you're golden.
